More Dessert, Less Guilt !

You have a weakness for desserts, & then you wonder why that belly won’t dissappear? Most of the Mondanité team has that problem, so we have decided to share with them, & our readers, a few recipes for delicious desserts you don’t have to feel guilty about eating after lunch.

The first is a 150 calories recipe we will call: Apple Crisp.

Chop 1 apple; microwave in a bowl for 3 minutes; top with 2 tablespoons granola.

Mix 1/2 cup plain 2% reduced-fat yogurt with 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder & honey; top with 2 teaspoons chopped pecans & shredded coconut.

The second 160 calories recipe is Coconut Dates.

Place 8 dates in a large bowl. Mash with fingers until the dates form a ball. Add wheat cereal to the dates, then form into balls and roll each ball in coconut to coat.

The third low-cal dessert we chose for you is more fruit oriented. We will call it: Froutasalad

Wash apples & pears, then core & cut into fairly small pieces, & place in large salad bowl. Then Peel nectarines, bananas & kiwi fruits & cut into fairly small pieces, as well, & add to other fruit pieces. Mix orange juice & honey & pour over the fruits, then toss to coat. Refrigerate at least for an hour before eating.
